Get answers to common questions about Acne Facial W/ Extractions.
Your esthetician will consult on your skin, perform a deep cleanse, exfoliation, steam, and targeted extractions. We'll finish with calming masks and acne-specific serums. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes and include personalized aftercare recommendations to support healing and results.
Extractions can cause brief pressure or mild discomfort, but our estheticians use careful, sterile technique to minimize pain and irritation. For sensitive skin we adjust pressure and apply soothing agents. Expect temporary redness that subsides within hours to a few days.
Most clients benefit from a series of 4–6 facials spaced two to four weeks apart, depending on acne severity and skin response. Ongoing maintenance sessions every 4–8 weeks help sustain progress. Your esthetician will create a personalized plan during consultation.
Some topical or oral acne medications (including isotretinoin) can increase skin sensitivity and risk. Always disclose medications when booking. We may postpone extractions or use gentler approaches; consult your prescribing dermatologist before scheduling if you're on prescription acne drugs.
Avoid heavy makeup, intense exercise, saunas, and direct sun for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers and recommended serums, apply SPF daily, and follow any product or regimen guidance your esthetician provides to prevent irritation and promote healing.
Common temporary effects include redness, pinpoint bleeding, or tenderness after extractions. These typically resolve in a few days with proper care. Rarely, infection or scarring can occur; follow aftercare guidance and contact us if you notice unusual swelling, prolonged redness, or pain.
